Alta Maremma is a box full of prized, beautiful pearls: Bolgheri, Bibbona, Donoratico, San Vincenzo, Campliglia, Baratti, Populonia and many other marvelous locations immersed in natural green and facing the marvelous and transparent Tyrrhenian Sea.
The wind blows, and filtering through the stems and branches of the centuries old pine forest, transfers unequalled scents emanating from long ago in products derived from the region, especially in wine and olive oil. It is fun and exciting to walk along the Medieval alleys that wander without end, little doors and deep windows which bring us back to a long-lost time and to the beauty of discovering things rarely seen.
The reward for such great effort is the view along the slope going down toward the plain, and further out to the sea, of a far-away sail, and of the horizon, which becomes indistinguishable from the sky. This is our region. Immersed in such beauty, our vineyards, olive trees and other cultivations help to awaken the day with the rustle of the Masseto Forest’s leaves, see wild boars in search of food, and close the day with the Mistral wind from a sea resplendant and red with the sun’s final setting. Agricola Le Querce farm is inland from this spectacle, in the community of Campiglia Marittima, but equidistant as well from San Vincenzo and Venturino.
